Roof Deck Preparation

Clean the roof surface prior to installation

Be sure the roof surface is clean, complimentary of dust, dirt, rust, oil, grease, and loose material. The roof surface must exist dry out. This product will not adhere to wet surfaces. Trapped moisture may vaporize and negatively bear on the performance of this product. This system is best installed onto a timber deck either outside class ply or OSB3.

Install Drip Crossbar

Install Drip Back Drip Trim

The Drip Trim has a front end and back piece. Install theDrip Trim backplate using the nails provided. Marshal the curved acme edge of the trim with the timber batten.

Chase out Wall Upstand

Chase out brick mortar articulation using angle grinder or mortar chisel prepare to take Wall Trim flashing.

Relax Rubber Membrane

Let the rubber membrane to relax in position for 30 minutes.

Fold Membrane Halfway

Fold the rubber membrane back to expose half of the roof deck.

Apply Deck Adhesive

Apply Water Based Deck Adhesive using a ix" paint roller. Get out a 150mm un-bonded area around the roof deck perimeter for bonding later with Contact Adhesive

Roll the EPDM membrane dorsum in to position immediately whilst the adhesive is STILL WET

If the adhesive dries out (becomes opaque) before the membrane is relayed then a thin glaze tin can be applied to the dorsum of the MEMBRANE and allowed to dry before installing. Apply adhesive to smaller area in hot whether to avert premature drying.

(Water based adhesives should but be used when the exterior temperatures is four degrees and rising and no run a risk of freezing weather in the post-obit 24-48 hours)

Sweep EPDM Membrane

Sweep EPDM membrane to remove trapped air and ameliorate bonding to substrate.

Utilize Contact Adhesive to Roof Perimeter

Apply a THIN glaze of Contact Agglutinative to the roof deck perimeter (approximately 150mm width) and whatsoever vertical upstands. As well apply the Contact Agglutinative to the dorsum of the rubber membrane.

Contact Adhesive tin can also be used to bond the condom membrane to most porous and not-porous surfaces then can be used in identify of h2o based deck agglutinative if necessary

Ensure Contact Agglutinative is Touch Dry out

Ensure the Contact Adhesive is bear upon dry and there are no puddles of adhesive.

The Contact Adhesive gives off a vapour every bit information technology cures. If the membrane is bonded before the Contact Agglutinative has fully dried bubbling/blisters may announced. These bubbling should disappear over time due to the EPDM membrane being breathable.

Cutting Back Excess Material

Trim whatever excess material from walls and upstands using the chase out as a guide.

Cut ix" Elastoform to size allowing upstand height plus an actress 75mm on the length by 150mm on the width. (75mm on to rubber & 75mm on to Brick/render).
